Country Ranking

The country ranking reflects the performance of each country's teams on international competitions in the past 5 seasons. Victories, draws and qualifying for advanced rounds on those competitions give a team points. The amount of points received depends on the competition being played. This was designed in a way to level countries from different continents. The country score in a particular season is the average of its teams performance on that season.

Beside the fun and the informative purpose, the country ranking is also used to decide the quality of youth players. Each country has a base value for every player skill. Appearing consistently in good rank positions will slowly increase these base values and similarly bad ranking positions will decrease them. The base for each rank position is as follows:

• 1st - 80
• 2nd - 80
• 3rd - 79
• 4th - 79
• 5th - 78
• 6th - 78
• 7th - 77
• 8th - 77

This doesn't mean that moving from 2nd to 5th will make all base skills drop from 80 to 78 when a new season starts. Keep in mind that this is a slow transition, the skills don't change their values all at once and they won't drop dramatically between seasons.
