Staff Departments

There are 3 staff departments available: coaching, physioterapy and scouting. The coaching department plays a key role on your players evolution while the physioterapy department helps your injured players in getting better faster and the scouting department can perform detailed player searches around the world. Each of them has a level associated, from 0 to 10. To upgrade from a level to the next one you need to spend some money. There is also a maintenance cost that must be paid every 3 turns to keep a department at a certain level. If you can't afford your current levels or have simply changed your mind about an upgrade you can downgrade a department, reducing its level and maintenance cost. You'll receive 25% of the money spent in the upgrade back if you do a downgrade. The board won't allow a department to be upgraded if the financial situation will become bad as a result of this upgrade.

Your coaching department level basically defines the amount of experience points a player needs to improve. The following table contains the exact average experience points needed based on the coaching level:

For second division teams you should add 10% to these values. Add more 10% for each lower division (20% for third division, 30% for fourth division and so on).

It is important to notice that you must pay the improvement cost for each level...you won't pay 3,000,000 and go from level 0 to 10, you'll have to pay each level improvement cost in order to reach level 10.
[edit] Physioterapy Department
The logic behind the physio department is very straightforward. Every turn there is a chance an injured player will have his remaining injured turns reduced by 2 instead of 1. This chance depends on the physio department level.
Level 0 -> 0%
Level 1 -> 10%
Level 2 -> 20%
...
Level 10 -> 100%
For a team with level 10 physio department all injured players will get better half the estimated time.

It is important to notice that you must pay the improvement cost for each level...you won't pay 1,800,000 and go from level 0 to 10, you'll have to pay each level improvement cost in order to reach level 10.
[edit] Scouting Department
This deparment gives you a powerful tool to perform global player searches. The higher the level of the scouting department more frequent you'll be able to search for players.
Level 0 -> never
Level 1 -> once every 10 turns
Level 2 -> once every 9 turns
...
Level 10 -> once every per turn
As a result of the scouting search you'll get a page displaying the 100 lowest value players that meet your criteria. In order to obtain better results, make sure you give all the details you want before using the scouts. After a successful search (at least 1 player was found) you won't be able to do another search in the same turn.
